Imran Khan for President?

After the most embarrassing expose of Pakistani "democracy" yesterday. Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman and former athlete, Imran Khan is claiming to be able to put an end to all the ills facing Pakistan.
Imran Khan said that the mid-term elections would not derail the democratic process. He said the PTI would put an end to corruption if voted to power. He said the corrupt leadership was busy in transferring money to foreign accounts and suggested a ban on the dual citizenship. -- The News
Bold and noble promises Mr. Khan. But can you deliver? Or will a divided parliament put a damper on your spirits? Will the elites of Pakistan allow you to implement such radical changes? Changes which are necessary to strengthen the country, help the downtrodden and deliver justice? Only time will tell.

And then, maybe someone else will rise up promising radical change. Will we then blindly follow him? Are we really that naive? Is hundreds of years of recorded history not enough to make us understand what a hideous system democracy is?

P.S On a side note, it would be interesting to make a website like this one for Pakistan.
